Dear Sir

I held a meeting last night with about 8 or 10 of the leading collored men of this neighborhood and stated to them the object of my visit they willingl compiled with our request and say they will go to getting out the timbers. I told them that they would have to get out sills, sleepers, corner posts, plates, rafters, and c. It is not needful to send you an estimate for this lumber you know what you intend to send and send it as soon as convenient and we will get to work at once, send to Capt Feifs ware House Care George W. Johnson I think if the lumber comes soon we will have this House ready to open school
