Butler, J. H. — Agent.

States that the work in Charles County is not progressing so fast as desirable, but hopes to be able to report more favorably soon: that he expects to go to Bryantown, Port Tobacco and Newport this week: that he means to have all the houses in Calvert County plastered as soon as possible: that there are many cases of children who are bound to service, and he intends to report these cases to [[underlined]] Maj. VanDerlip [[/underlined]]: that his present address is Prince Frederick, Calvert Co.
