I write to inform you that I have got the matter strait of which I complained in my last letter which was some dificuly between Col. Bowling and one of the men.  We are ready to go to work as soon as the lumber comes.  We give the Captin the directions to find Mr Hawley & Co. and we will go to work at once on the Benedict House.  I am just from the Swamp Chapel School House, and we raised money enough to get lumber and shingles to finish that House and the workmen are at work, but there is one more assistance they need very much and that I spoke to the Genl. about and he said that he would call your attention to as soon as you came back, and that is lumber for the seats then we will be certain to have that House
