Mount Pleasant, Charles Co. Md.
Aug. 12th 1868.

Butler  J. H. — Agent.

States that the people of Mt. Pleasant have bought and paid for an acre of land for school purposes, and are ready to build the house as soon as material is sent:  

that they have a school already in operation, taught by [[underlined]] Danl. Thomas [[/underlined]] (white) numbering forty pupils, which is only about one third of the children in the neighborhood: that the material should be sent to Truman's Point, Prince George County, and shipped on the same schooner that takes the material to Benedict.
