Rev. John Kimball

Dear Sir

Since I written to you last I have been to Hoods Mill or in that neighborhood and find that the Mount Gregory school will do for the people there. I then went to Ellicott City and found a school in session taught by a Mr. Malachia [[?Decaday]] a colored teacher and the school is taught in the church I have two interviews with him and also with others and found that it would take too much time to get up a meeting as all I talked with seemed to moove so slow. I then taken the road called the Helltown road and came by that road to this place on my way to meet you at Rockville

Verry Respectfully
Your Servant
