Mount Pleasant Frederick County Md.
Sept. 29th 1868

Rev John Kimball

Dear Sir

I write to inform you that we had a large turn out last night and the people concluded to commence and build forthwith. Their deed is all right and they have nearly one hundred dollars to commence with and subscribed nearly fifty dollars last night and say if you will give them the order for the lumber at once they will have the House done in a short time. I seen their deed and their lot and all seems to be right only they will have to make the foundation smaller as they have a stone foundation laid for a large House. They are going to make the stone work smaller at once so they will be ready to go ahead as soon as their lumber comes.
