Dear Sir

I am at this place and held a meeting here last night it was largely attended by white and colored.  After I addressed the audience one of the white gentlemen by the name of Mr Thoms who told the people that he and the white portion of the congregation endorsed all that had [[strikethrough]] been [[/strikethrough]] been said and told the colored people to go ahead and they would get help.  They then appointed the school Trustees sent them out to buy land and as soon as they get the land deeded they will write to you and let you know that the deed is right.  I left a blank with Mr. Perry Who will write to you.  Mr. Wm. W. Perry is the Gentleman who taught the colored school here last winter and the people voted without
