Oak Hill Mongomery Co. Md.
December 14th 1868

Rev. John Kimball
Dear Sir

The school House here is up and closed in chimney up and finished except wainscotting they had only enough flooring to lay the floor and the poarch that is to be put up and plastered then that House will be finished and I think it will be the neatest and best finished House in the County. Mr Nathan Naylor [[?beged]] all the heavy timbers and cut them and hawled them with this wadon all free of expence. All their expences in building have cost them $,145,48 one hundred and forty five dollars and forty eight cents. As soon as they can get their House plastered and seats made they will be ready for a teacher. These people have done well every dollar of their expences have been paid to date. They cannot say when they will plaster the House as the weather is verry cold and snow about 6 inches deep

Verry Respectfully Yours
