Great Mills St. mary's Co. Md.
January 24th 1869
Rev. John Kimball

Dear Sir
I found this school in tolerable good condition. Miss York seems to be doing all she can but these people is hard to get along with. The House is not finished yet. I held a meeting with them and they came to a conclusion to shingle the Porch and plaster the House at once.

The debt on the House is about $80.00 And the deed was then at the Court House but the trustees say they will send for it this week and Miss York says that she will copy and foward to you this week.

Respectfully yours
