Milestown St. Mary's Co. Maryland
January 30th 1869
Rev John Kimball

Dear sir

The school House at this place have not been finished yet but I have got the men to get out shingles out of the woods and will finish shingling today and also they had boards enough to seal the sealing of school and 4 men are putting the ceiling on and will finish that tomorrow They will they say put up the chimney this week. Then they will be ready for a teacher and wishes to have one as soon as you will send them one. This House is next to the school House in Lenardtown for neatness and streangth. The trustees say they intend to complete it as soon as they possibly can  John Dickerson one of the board says he will go to Capt Lawrence and get the deed and send you a copy at once
