Chap Kimball:
Dear Sir:
The last of Dec. you sent me two checks to pay for the transportation of M. J. Stowes $21.85 - A. L. Houghton $16.83 - Ms. Houghton had just left for Maine and I sent his check to him, but it appears to have been lost as no trace of it can be found. What steps can we take to catch the rogue or secure the money? The check had not been endorsed. I received the checks about the 29th.

Very Sincere Yours,
