Rockville May 25th /69 Mr Kimball Sir Having left Washington on 24th ulto, I went to work immediately. I, at first, was rather disheartened to find things unfinished so far from what I expected to find them. The School house was not completed, even the flue was not up, and rather a poor prospect of when we would be able to get in; but by the aid of Mrs Baeshears and myself, we got the Trustees to meet, to do all they could, and that directly.
