Mr. Swain:

Sir you must excuse me by interrupting you so about my salary as I told you in my last letter that I had gotten Doctor Wilmer of this town to stand my security for a pair of boots and I have been expecting it by the 5th of this month. And he concluded to wait until the 10th.

So now as my time is out and by him asking me two or three times and I thought that I would write to again today to request of you if you please to send it down by Monday so that I can settled with him as soon as I can.

I am getting along very well with my school at present and the children are learning very fast, but a number of them has left on the account of this month being Christmas month, but expecting to have a large after the holidays

I think that the people will be ready after the Holidays to purchase books.

Your Truely
