assume the responsibility of sending Mr Johnson, as our teacher - I yet think that if you write to Mr Kimball & explain the Case to him he may find a position where he can have him under his eye, & see from time to time how he progresses - as he is so very anxious to go and promises to fairly. I feel like giving him a trial [[underlined]] individually [[/underlined]] - but not under the auspices of the "Penna Assn" But let Mr J be prepared with Testaments, Bible readers, & other religious books suited for a Sunday School - with Tracts &c which he can either sell or give away as he may deem best. -And if he should become [[underlined]] thoroughly interested [[/underlined]] in the work, as he seemed to be in Virginia we may have no Cause to regret the effort we have made. He promises to take no part in politics - & especially none against the views of our Comm.
