Dear Sir,
We regret very much that you have deprived us of our most excellent Teacher Mr Johnston, and it is to beg that you will allow him to return to us that I now apply to you.

Very true it is not our place to dictate but Mr Johnston has proven himself to be not only most excellent teacher but of great benefit in many other things he attends to all the wants of the poor and sick and we believe has given us the best advice. But unfortunately some one who could not have understood his meaning took offence and reported him for which we have every reason he is now ashamed as we cannot find out who it was.

The greater portion of the people are anxious for Mr Johnston to return there is Rev Mr Jimmerson Mr Jones, Meadows, Reynolds and Dr Quartes with a great many others I could mention who would like
