Dear Sir,

I am in Receipt of your favor of 11th inst. Did not get it until last evening.

Would say in reply to your interrogation that I should be pleased to receive a visit from yourself, the distinguished Gen'l & Lady. Yet I know of nothing very special that can be done unless the School-board can be spurred to action in reference to a school-house.
