Dear Sir:
Some time since I understood that the teachers in this county were to have Bureau Transportation to their homes. [[underlined]] If I mistake not, [[/underlined]] Mr. J.H. Butler was our authority. Is it so? I saw them (Messrs James, Owens and Locke) last Sunday week and I was appointed to communicate with you concerning this matter.

My school instead of improving (in point of numbers) is, I fear, decreasing in that particular. On account of the approach of the working season, a great number have left, whose places I did hope would be filled up; but my hope was vain. I have not but thirty two scholars (day) enrolled, with an average attendance
