Boston May 4th 1868

Mr. Kimball,
I herewith send you my report for the last month of school. I was so busy that I neglected to fill it out before leaving Washington. I was very sorry that you were out of town at the time of the closing exercises of my school - A goodly number of friends (mostly colored) visited the schools and one of the [[underlined]] pleasantist [[/underlined]] features [[underlined]] to me [[/underlined]] was a written resolution of thanks presented by Mr Bowen (Uncle' Long) in behalf of many of the colored citizens of the 7th ward - I think I will have it [[underlined]] framed [[/underlined]]
