Dear Mr Kimball,
Yours of yesterday at hand. We don't expect to have much [[over in?]] teachers but want to give you some - Wm V. James wants to return to Parkers Creek - and some of the other young men wish to return -

The two colored girls I speak of I would like to get nice places for. I have seen but one of them yet, but was much pleased with her. I want you to select two good places for them & direct me how they are to get there - They are not to open before the first of Oct.-

If Lt B should be Elected this fall there will be a [[poor?]] [[show?]] for our teachers in the South - The K.K.K's came near killing our Mr [[barnes?]] at Buckingham Va. last week -
Very truly
