General,
I have the honor to request an order to proceed from this city to Boston, Mass. and return, for Major S. W. Saxton, Agent Bureau R. F. & A. L.

Major Saxton is to arrange for the N. E. Society to examine candidates for Teachers and give credentials, and if possible in this way supply the urgent want of teachers for our new School houses in lower Maryland. Some thirty colored teachers are needed for this purpose. The Salaries we can arrange with the Penna. Association to pay in part. Other salaries will be met from other sources.
