Thinks they can soon provide one or two teachers for the Maryland schools. Is informed that the Pa. Branch furnishes forty teachers for Md. Inquires if they will do all, without their help. States that she is informed they will cost only $100. each, but presumes allowance is made for the $10. monthly rent from the Bureau; that from letter of Genl. [[underlined]] Sewall [[/underlined]] they learn that restrictions are imposed which will prevent them from sharing this assistance from the Bureau; that if there is need for them to act, and they will not be required to pay more than $100. each they can supply a few good female colored teachers
