an unneccessary supply of light and cold. I thought my mind was sufficiently prepared to meet the objections to a [[underlined]] home [[/underlined]] where the marks of Oppression has not entirely been obliterated, but I must confess, that to live in a [[underlined]] hut [[/underlined]] with a fire on the hearth, no Carpets on the floor no Window to give light, the door open from early morn untill evening is something that had escaped my thoughts, and I do not think that my health will allow me to remain here, this Winter. When I see the little children come a distance of 3 and 4 miles to school an exhibit such deep anxiety to learn, and the more aged willing to do any thing in their power to acquire knowledge I feel for a time as if here I ought to remain under all circumstances
