Mr. J. Kimball
Sup. of Education
Washington D.C.

Sir:
I enclose monthly report together with copy of deed which you ask for: the school building is not finished, and requires a door and ceiling or plastering, the People propose to ceil it. The only articles of furniture in the building are some roughly made and rather uncomfortable desks. The debt on the school is eight dollars. It will require between sixty and seventy dollars to complete the building, I think about the latter. Money for incidentals is raised by taxing pupils

The amount paid by Freedmen on building, what they still owe, and when the building was commenced I am unable to state as Mr Cooper the only one who seemes to have any definite knowledge of it, is working away from home.
