My Dear Mr Kimball.
Both of yours of yesterday at hand. Many thanks for the information.

I have decided to leave here on [[underlined]] Friday [[/underlined]] next at 12.00. [[underlined]] noon [[/underlined]], to be at Washington Friday Evening, and all day next Saturday, as I might not return in time to see Genl O.O. —

I will bring my a/cs and guess they will be all right —

If not out of your way would you stop at Willards and Engage a good room for me for Friday? My wife goes with me, and I have had such bad luck in rooms, then, I should like to be comfortable while there. Mr Brooks wants one for Monday night. He meets me in Lynchburg on Tuesday Evening — (over)
