Mr. Kimball,

Dear Sir
Sundry boxes have been sent to you to be distributed among our Maryland schools. Robert Smith has returned to Philada & Miss Howell will be transferred to Virginia in a few days so we do not wish anything sent to their schools.

Miss Anderson at Port Deposit is the best teacher we have, next to Miss Gordon. She has a large school & we will be glad if you will send her Robert Smith & Miss Howell's portions in addition to her own.

We will also be glad to hear from you where Marshall is to be located. Miss Anderson complains of want of Blackboards, maps, globes &c Can she not be supplied by Maryland or must we do what we can to help her? We are sending presents to [[underlined]] all [[/underlined]] our schools throughout the South
