Dear Mr Kimball,
I return the account sent you, made out for one year .67 to .68 and shall be much obliged to you for getting the money. We want it badly. I'm sorry not to be able to get the rent for two years back. One of these school houses cost us about $1500 in 1862, I think, on St Helena Island but we shall look out next time to ask in time. How soon do you think our a/c will get thro? I hope to be able to hand the money to our Tres. next week.

That letter of Miss Morris' [[underlined]] is [[/underlined]] rough, but we haven't many of that [[strikethrough]] kink [[/strikethrough]] kind. Against [[he?]] we will put Miss Knight one of Colored Maryland teachers (whose letter I enclose, please return) — Thats the kind we will try to send you now.
