Dear Mr Kemball

The three young men who returned from Washington are quite anxious to get to their schools. Mr Core writes that the boats do not run, and the only way is by Washington & from there by stage, I'm very sorry they did not go from there when they were in Washington — What can be done for them, They have now been at an Expense of +4. [[strikethrough]] 25/100 [[/strikethrough]] Each, which they ought not to have to pay. Without they can have transport soon I fear they will have to look for other schools.

I write E. W. Robinson Secy of Howard University, that if you think well of the school asked for, we will aid it.

Very truly yours.
