Mr. Kimball;

Your letter in answer to mine to Mr Corson is recieved, I have never ordered more book than was really [[underlined]] needed [[/underlined]] by the school but the quantity of Third Readers which were sent me I did [[underlined]] not [[/underlined]] order. Your Rules say "there is little or no use in pupils attending school without being provided with proper books "& in this I cannot but coincide, though I do not by any means undervalue the use of the black-board which I believe is a powerful auxillery and which you so highly reccomend in your letter, but as yet I have no black-board to use. Mr Cooper commenced making one about a month ago, and I wish you would write to him concerning it, for all that I can say to him I have not been able to get him to complete it.

I desire as much as you can "to see a better state of things" and am willing to do any thing in my power to bring it about, but I have hopes of only partial success.
