Rev Jno Kimball
Washington:

Yours of 25" recd. Where was Locke last year? If transportation could be given these two young men direct to their school I think they would be willing to go. Will you please give me a list of one or two other places if you have them, as well as a list of some of the Baltimore places where these young men could be sent. I dont see but what those young men [[strikethrough]] done [[/strikethrough]] did the best they could do. They went to Baltimore as directed and finding no boat running went to Washington; and not having funds enough to remain in Washington till an answer had been recd to your telegram they returned to Baltimore; and finding that the boats would not run this winter again, came home. I think the best thing to have done would have been to sent them in the stage from Washington while you had them there. I cant exactly see where [[underlined]] they [[/underlined]] are to blame
