States in reply, that they will take the nine teachers, if assured they are good ones.

Inquires why they cannot draw rent for all the houses. Requests list of each one with name and location of school and number of pupils, States that without these he believes they have eighteen in Maryland : States that he has given credit for Miss [[underlined]] Howell's [[/underlined]] salary to Feb. 1st

Inquires if they have not now 27 teachers.
