Dear Mr Kimball

Yours of 30th at hand. We will take the 9 teachers you speak of if you know them to be good teachers. If they are not we shall hold you to account for them.

Why can we not draw rent for all the houses? Please give me a list of each one, with [[underlined]] full [[/underlined]] name and location of school, & number in school. Without these, I believe we have 18 in Maryland today. Miss Howell not included. I think she ought to be paid to Feb 1st tho she left there on the 26th, and have given you cr. for her up to that date. (today)

Yours very truly

Have we not now 27 teachers?
