Col. R. Corson,

Dear Sir.
The Bearer Miss Marion Currey informs me that she
has made application to Miss Jackson for an appointment as teacher of a Primary school among the Freedmen. Of her scholastic attainments I have had no chance of personally knowing. Judging that your committee will be met by her and that she will have
an opportunity of showing her ability in that direction, I feel that I can freely recommend her for the position which she seeks, her character, industry, and energy entitle her I think, to your favorable consideration.
