Williams Port March 6th 1869

Dear Sir this will inform you that I am well at present and hope that these few lines may find you well  I received the Regester and the Blanks and feel very greatful that Such Efforts are being made for the Education of the Colored [[strikethrough]] poef [[strikethrough]] people  But I Do not think that I am Competent Enough to teach as a regular teacher not being thourghly acquainted with arethmetic and Geographa therefore I Do not think that I am the proper person to Discharge So important a duty  I only taken the School to Du the best that I Could untel We Could Do better and moreover I Expect Soon to Enter into the Traviling Connextion as a traviling preacher of the gospel of Christ
