Dear Sir 
I have a letter from Rev. Robt. P. Martin at Leasburg N.C. of Nov 30th in which he says that J.W. Somers had broken his right arm that day. He was to leave there for Maryland on the 2d of this month, but the Doctor, (J.A. Stanfield) thought he would not be able to travel for a few days. 

I am very glad to hear such a good report from our Maryland teachers. I did not like Prices first report, and had some fear he was not going to make the right kind of a teacher.

We are just sending a Christmas box to each one of our schools in the other states & felt quite sorry we could not send to our Maryland schools but the last time we did so we found so
