Maj D.G. Swain
Supt of Education
Washington D.C.

Sir

I have sent you this letter and registered it for two reason 1st to find out if there was any dishonest person in the post Office 2nd why it was I did not receive any letters from Washington I am in need of some money and I have not one cent to get me any thing at all. I have written to the rest of the teachers and it seems so strange they should receive theirs and I not mine. that is what I would like to know I am well hoping you are well I am,

Yours Respectfully
please register your letter as I have a reason for so doing I will tell you next time
