Dear Sir,

I received a letter from Major VanDerlip informing me that Miss Douglass had been ordered to the Brighton school.  Soon after, your letter came containing the same information.  It seemed almost strange, as none of the Sandy Spring school seem to have the least idea that she is to leave.  If Miss Douglass objected to her "quarters" as the Major writes - she certainly will not find them any more comfortable at Brighton.  But she of course will have to judge of that.  The Brighton school is exellent condition, and the scholars are
