Dear Sir,
I have in this lost or mislaid one or two blanks for the Monthly Report, and have no more.  Will you please to excuse this my delinquency, and send

A check is just [[secured?]] for the full amount of salary, up to May 1st - $66.66. Mr. Brooke will be in Washington in a few days, - most probably about Monday next; and I will send the $5.55 due Mr.
Ballantyne to you by him.
