Great Mills St Mary's Md. Oct 6th 1869
Mr. Kimball
Dear Sir,
I have arrived to my place of labor and have opened my school and the people and children seem very glad that I have returned.
As I have no pens, or ink, nor Chalk, I thought it proper to send to you for them, as I can not get along without them.
Also shall I order books of Mr. Core [[best guess]] as I did before? and shall I use my old register until the blank months all filled out
