Sat - July 10 & Sun - 

On Sat. afternoon Hobeah & Riley and another dancer from Picuris were to come to dance in my garden for Mrs Rhodes & her neice Miss Hugh - but on reaching the school Sat. morning, was told Riley was laid up with a bad foot. [[strikethrough]] but, Richard would [[/strikethrough]] Riley is a beautiful boy & a fine dancer, but Richard came in his place. Found afterward that Richard had learned these difficult dances in three days that we might not be disappointed - this and the fine spirit in which all was carried out made us very happy. The dances were superb, the garden a pretty setting, and all who came felt that never in all the world had they seen anything of the sort so charming - The day was hot & the anglos were sent into the studio for cold drinks & cakes and the boys went at once to the Ramada to dress which is always a lengthy procedure, and had their drinks & cakes during a rest in the dance - then when
