after all they are fit into one room & form a harmonious whole. He gave me some good suggestions as to photo reproduction and portfolio & postcards. Thurs. Aug. 4 - Some photos of room done. Mr Faris arranging with Riley for postcards - Santo Domingo Dance. Superb as always. Choma unusually sonorous, well timed and impressive. 60 in each chorus - 125 in first dance Romando says - which means 250 dancers and 120 chorus in all. We saw it from the house tops, the stately weaving in and out, the forming into circles and scattering; the forming into two long dancing lines that turn and pulse, meet and intermingle. Hot howling winds flew down from the hills across the plaza and beat stinging sand into our faces. The drum beat on, and the brown and black and turquoise dance never ceased, until at last the sun dropped down behind the cloud.
