Also expected to add substantially to the Institution's future year operating levels will be pay increases resulting from Congressional legislation. These costs are factored into the S&E trends. The January 24, 1983 [[underlined]] Prospectus [[/underlined]] incorporates the Institution's FY 1983 pay supplemental request to OMB.

[[underlined]] Trust Funds [[/underlined]]

There has been no significant change in the planned application of trust funds projected for FY 1984-88 since September and the [[underlined]] Prospectus [[/underlined]] material remains the same in this regard. Recent changes to federal levels of pay will affect trust projections, but cost estimates have not yet been made or incorporated into the projections.

[[underlined]] Construction, Renovation and Restoration [[/underlined

The FY 1983 Congressional action appropriating $36,500,000 for Quadrangle construction, $1,550,000 for the Zoological Park, and $8,450,000 for Restoration and Renovation will allow the Institution to continue these activities essentially as planned.

The OMB allowance for FY 1984 includes $3,500,000 for the Zoo and $9,000,000 for the Institution's Restoration and Renovation account. These amounts will sustain current efforts in these accounts. Future year R&R requirements have not changed since the September draft [[underlined]] Prospectus [[/underlined]] and are estimated to be about $14,000,000 annually. The projections over the planning period contain several projects for the Zoo at Rock Creek and at Front Royal facilities, requirements for the Bay Center, Tropical Research Institute, Astrophysical Observatory, and various Washington based operations.
