All museum bureaus conducting inventories are planning to complete their baseline surveys in 1983. Museums which have inventoried certain of their more complex collections at the "batch" or "collection" levels during this first cycle will continue after 1983 to refine their data at increasingly detailed levels. Collections to be transferred to the Museum Support Center are being accounted for on an item-by-item basis to assure full inventory control of all relocated objects.
