Your letter of the 27th ult. has been received. The following is a list of the books we want—

Two dozen Spellers. $ .90

I left no note at your office. I had reference in our conversation to a letter which I had written to you, in which I stated what books we wanted. I think I shall be able to send you the money for the books about the 16th. inst. The people here endeavor to do the best they can, yet
