Woodville. Pr. Geo. Co.
Maryland December 12th/68

John Kimball. Esq

Dear Sir.

Yours of 11th came duly to had this P.M. I regret having to inform you that I could prevail upon none of the merchants of Woodville to cash my draft. The offered various excuses for not doing so; the majority considered that it might be unsafe to advance the money, unless the parties who did ^[[so]] were in business in N.Y. or Washington
Thus I am compelled (from the force of circumstances) to return the draft, as my efforts and Mr. Richard Douglass' influence have been fruitless.

Very respectfully Yours.
Dellie Gordon
