Annapolis June 24th 1869

Mr Kimball

Dear Sir
I have not received orders as to the disposition to be made of the school Registers.

Will leave them in care of Mr Wm Bishop
(one of the Trustees.)

The School has not during the year, approached the standard I could have desired. The two years they had the advantages of School (previous to this,)seemed to enlighten them but little, either intellectually or morally. As a class, they seem, but in exceptional cases, to realize in a very small degree the blessings of Education; and instead of being grateful to those who endeavor to improve their condition, look upon it rather in the light of a favor granted, allowing themselves to be taught by us.

Hoping those who may succeed us, may be more successful

I remain yours most respectfully
