[[embossed seal]] C.G. [[/embossed seal]] Princes Anne, Somerset, Co. Md. Aug. 9th,/69. Mr. Kimball, Dear Sir. Your letter of 28th ult. came to hand. I would have answered it sooner, but was waiting for an answer from Mr. Black; I wrote to him to find out whether I could get the school or not. I stated to him, that I would be filling the place of one that was sent by you. But who failed to go. I did this, in order that there would be no misunderstanding with the people of Berlin, should I go there. Another reason why I did not write before was, that the school here begins to increase, & I wanted to see if I could get the School large enough to keep me here. If so I would stay. Now I am pretty [[insert]] well [[/insert]] satisfied that the trouble is over with here, so I'll stay.
