Rev. John Kimball

Rev Sir
The Rev. R.H. Dyson informs me that you are in want of a number of teachers to open schools in the vacinity of Washington. You remember writing some time since offering me a shool in one of the lower counties of M.D., but I declined your offer it being just before election and not caring to go so far in the county at that time. But at this same time [[strikethrough]] toll [[/strikethrough]] told you that I would except a situation near the vacinity of any city. So I beg leave to offer myself as a canidate for one of the positions. If after a futher acquaintance I should prove exceptable to you For reference, I would refer to the R. H. Dyson of Zions Church of this city, formerly of Washington, D. C. Hoping to hear from you soon.

I remain truly yours
