fifty cents. The Trustees & all concerned think that the whole cause of the failure of this House was the Bureau Authorising & contributing to build another School House in the Same District and neighborhool.

The Trustees are fully satisfyed that this School House would have been in operation Long ago,If the Bureau had not aided in Building another nearby, When all[[insert]] who [[/insert]] know any thing about the matter, must know that one school is as much as can be supported, if that can be done, We have consulted with coloured people here and they [[strikethrough]] think [[/strike-through]] have all come to the conclusion that they can support but one school if they can do that, and those who are most able to give live in the neighborhood of the other school, and will not pay their subscription here & we say without hesitation that if the other school goes on this cannot be supported unless it is by the Bureau Mr Townley B Robey [[insert]] has [[/insert]]the key and we advise him to retain it untill the amount due is paid beleaving as we do that the Bureau has been the whole cause of the trouble,

Very Respectfully
