State that they have purchased a lot of ground for a Freedmens School house, and that the deed is made out to the Board of Education of that Township, and request now that the aid ($200.00) promised by Capt. [[underlined]] Brubaker, [[/underlined]] late Agent, in behalf of the Bureau be paid otherwise the School-house cannot be finished.

I know nothing of this arrangement with Capt Brubaker. I recommend that notice be given these Comrs that if they will send a copy of their deed & will complete a school house according to plan herewith Enclosed by the middle of December, then on due notice of the completion of said house we will pay $200.00 toward the same.
