Dear Sir
   At the request of the Committee named on the enclosed paper, [[strikethrough]] I send you this paper [/strikethrough]] the meeting was the Best that had since the school House has been built and they seem to manifest some earnest hop about it  there was quite a discussen about the pay but none was welling to pay more than 50 cts & if they pay that it is as much as they are able to pay  they get but 10$ per month the men and very few of the women can do more than take care of the children & the whole family has to be fed & clothed out that 10$  you can see at once the situation  I learn there will be 30 scolar patroness the school which will make $15 per month to be paid in

You asked if there had not been a deed executed for the School House property already  In reply I have to say there was a ded executed on the 28th Sept 1867 and a coppy sent to your Department  the original is in the Hands of the old Commissioners and they refuse to put the same
